Its a Must Have

This is a must-have...but it would be nice to see COLOR pictures, maybe even slightly larger pictures in general. The detail could definitely be more helpful. I understand it just suppose to give you an idea of the process, but lots of mechanic newbies depend on these manuals and it would be nice to offer a clearer view of whats being shown. Its a must-have so we can't complain too much. But it would be a great idea to offer a 'Premium' manual. One that Does offer larger pictures, maybe More pictures, and added input/tips/detail on the most in-depth topics. Still its a must have!

It's Just OK

Haynes manuals are entertaining; the grainy black-and-white photos, the grubby hands... This is full of semi-useless information for things I'll never do, totally ignores convertibles, and uses repair procedures way more complicated than necessary. Supplement this with you-tube, and it's OK, but not great. I mostly got it as a security blanket, I'm in the habit of buying manuals for every vehicle I have. This one, though, sets a new low bar for Haynes. if nothing else, the cheap paper is probably pretty absorbent.

This manual goes over the basic and a little bit more. It doesn't have pictures for everything but it is a good starting point. This plus youtube and your set.

Very "wordy" ....rather than to the point...

This book is the chosen text for my Psychology of Aggression class. I have taken several Psych courses and used textbooks that were very clear, easily stated and to the point. This author is very "wordy" and tries to impress you with his jargon and writing style over the power to educate (I am not impressed.) This book is a teaching tool and should be better formulated and laid out. In this day and age anyone can make respectable power point graphs. The ones in this book are pitiful!
Maybe I am more of a visual learner. I like bulleted information, clear concise definitions and materials that are to the point. This book rambles at times...But I have no choice to dive in and try to engage myself in the material.

focuses on the important words

Great for a beginner learning Hindi because it doesn't have ALL the words, just all the important words that you'll actually need to use! That way, it is a lot less overwhelming. Also, it has easy to follow and consistent transliteration to the english alphabet. The guide to pronunciation in the beginning has helped me a lot. My husband is from New Delhi, and says that some of the words are not the ones he knows, but that is to be expected since there are so many varying dialects in India! Nothing substitutes for a little guidance from a native speaker, but it's also very hard to learn from a native speaker without some concrete, organized, written guide such as this dictionary! Very useful, I carry it in my bag and learn new words every day on my commute.

When it comes to Hindi, I love anything by Rupert Snell. I've learned more from his books than a pile of books on Sanskrit, which uses the same alphabet. This dictionary is easy to use. It has transliterations of Hindi words. Whatever language you study, a dictionary is helpful.

Donnie Tindall

Donnie Tindall is a digital forensics engineer at Dagger Networks, where he evaluates smartphone application security for various use cases and provides unique solutions to challenging forensic issues. Previously, he worked for Basis Technology, where he provided on-site mobile device forensics support for the U.S. government, including the development and teaching of mobile forensics courses to government and military users. Prior to that, he worked as a consultant for the FBI Terrorist Explosive Device Analytical Center, where he was responsible for handling mobile device forensics on media associated with improvised explosive devices. Donnie has performed thousands of mobile device extractions on Nokia, BlackBerry, Android, iPhone, and other devices. Great Primer for Android OS

The book provides a great primer for Android and takes into account that different companies will change it to fit their needs. I like that the author has broken it down to the nuts and bolts for what would be consistent in all Android OS and discusses open source resources to extract, analyze, review, and report (and understands there are commercially available products that do the same). What I appreciate is that it helps me understand what the commercial product is doing at some point in the extraction. Worth the read. I like physical books (I like to mark things).

This book is packed with so much information simply reading it twice isn't enough, you'll need to make a few pots of coffee in order to digest all the information made available in this book. Rohit takes a unique approach to organizing and presenting material in this book, while the humor lacks in the book it is technically sound and straight forward. Few books have amazed me, and I've probably reviewed 100 books by now, this one has left a mark on my brain that will last for the remainder of my life. Now, that is certainly a bold claim and I certify this book is well worth such a claim. While I would have liked to seen some work on fingerprint passwords that was simply not covered in the book, but you'll be happy to know that swipe patterns are covered which are still in wide use today.

From the setup of the environment required to do the forensic work, theory behind the work involved, and then applying it in real world examples make this book worth the cost. My favorite part about this book would have to be the use of JTAG to recover data from damaged devices, and why you should smash your phone into a billion pieces if you have something to hide of great importance. This book is an eye opener and should be read by anyone who is paranoid about their security, and probably why you should or shouldn't root your Android device. The author answers everything clearly and concise with litter room for misunderstanding the message behind the learning activity. The frozen device was actually really intriguing, at a certain temperature the memory contained data longer and allowed data extraction, simply brilliant if I do say so myself.

Recovering delete files, application data, and the many methods to do so are covered. I've looked over this book a few dozen times already and still shake my head at the various recovery options available despite the 'security' appliances allowed on the device and how easily they're bypassed. So in short, don't do anything that you'd have to hide or you'll be pretty shocked when they uncover the deleted data you thought was gone forever!

I really like how the author chooses to write about the period, and to focus in depth on a few artists and supplement with unknown, but representative, artists rather than rush through every famous name.

Beautiful book

I bought this book as a companion piece to a class on Renaissance art, and the book is beautiful. The design is top notch, it doesn't even feel as if it is a text book. The reading is simple and straight forward as well. Although, if I weren't in the major I was, I would not find this book interesting. A definite buy for the artist, or art student!
