Leaves a lot of questions unanswered. This type of book should be reviewed by an interested novice before finalized. During the first few chapters I spent as much time searching the rest of the text for answers to questions the text raised as I did reading the assignment.

It is both particle and flowing as surely as I am both a teacher and a sister-- even though at any given moment I may be expressing myself either as a teacher or a sister, but I am always both—and so light is always both particle and flowing. For love to be “alive” it must flow. If we are not flowing love, we are not living life to the fullest. We can choose to flow love or not. This is part of free will. Each time we make the most love-filled and love-flowing choice, we shift our vibration closer to the vibration of our essence, our heaven vibration, and this feels good because this is our true state. Each time we choose a less-loving, less-light, lower-vibration option, we move away from our essence and that feels less good. If we send love to everyone, everything changes. Not only does it raise our own frequency so that we literally go up higher and can transcend our problems. Beyond that, because we are all truly ONE, when we raise our own individual vibration, we raise the vibration of ALL. Because of this, what you think and HOW you do the things you are doing really does make a difference. Fear is a false truth that does not exist in heaven. Love shifts fear to a higher vibration in the same way light shines into darkness and it is gone. These two (fear and darkness) are the same. One is the emotional aspect and the other is the visual aspect of a lack of love. Love is all that exists. If we see other things than love, they are false truths that are merely appearing real in the way my abyss appeared very real to me for many years—yet it was only a false truth. If we flow love, false truths will fall away. There is an unlimited supply of love in heaven. If we joyfully give all the love inside our souls, it will create a vacuum of love within us. Into this vacuum, if we invite it, love from heaven will flow so that we will never run out of love. We will always have more love to give because when we give joyfully, we will be refilled from heaven. I learned that when we think a thought, in that instant it IS. This is true in heaven (immediately) and it is true on earth as well (although here there is a delay in its physical arrival). I learned we are all our individual selves but we are also all part of the larger whole. To say that we are not connected to each other is like saying one part of the sky is not connected to another part of the sky. It is one sky. There are different clouds in the sky, but they are all a part of the sky, are they not? In the same way, we are all part of God. We are one. I learned that love is an energy and we are all made from this energy, the energy of love. Love cannot be held. It can only be flowed. And because we are made of love and love must be given, we must give in order to fully live. To give love is to flow it outwards from ourselves without any regard for whether or not it will ever return back to us, giving joyfully and completely the way water flows in the falls at Niagara. If we live this way, all of our cells will fill with light and our lives will be healthy in every way. The key to living a happy, healthy, fulfilling life is to give love. I learned that the closest we can get to heavenly communication while on earth is sending love/light. Love is the fabric of all. Love is bigger than any problem and the ultimate answer to any problem is to send love to it. That is what the perspective from heaven ultimately allows us to see. It is all love: all of it. We are all love: all of us. Love is the beginning, the essence, the answer to all of the questions. Love is all.

Oh my god

Waiting for this book for so long. I laughed at times and was awed at Jacade and Ivy finally admitting to their love. Secrets reveled forgiveness given and blood shed. Can love conqure all? Will Jude be able to do his magic ? What does the future hold? MK wow, once again superb book. The next one can't get here fast enough. I think I'm more in love with Jacade in this book than I was in the first one if that's possible. And Jude, well can't wait to hear more about him. Amazing series so far, if you haven't read it start with Revival, you won't be disappointed.

Rectify is beyond awesome!

Have you ever read a book that's so good, so friggin intense you get lock jaw????!!!! That's really good reading material if the drama gives you lock jaw!

What in the H E double hockey sticks did I read????!!!! Oh. My. Gosh. Becky! Jacade and Ivy slay every idea, every expectation, every experience associated with the word relationship in Rectify! This second installment is by far the best of the two books although book one is totally awesome sauce!!!!

We have in Rectify the underhanded and gritty underbelly of the mafia (love it!), this on again off again love thing between Jacade and Ivy (their bed play is so hot it could heat up the state of Alaska for an entire year), and the mystery of who is Ivy (it's a wonder she's not enshrined in gold) ???!!!! Uh yeah....Ivy's identity gonna definitely blow you away and it's gonna definitely bring the madness in book three, Remedy. I'm ready for the madness....I've got my survival kit ready.....

Five gazillion stars because Jacade and Ivy have definitely found their very own space in my heart! Rectify knocked the ball out the field, court, the entire friggin hemisphere!

Love Jacade and Ivy!

What an amazing ride this book takes you on. This is the second book in the series and I could not put it down. We get to see a part of the past of Jacade and Ivy. The emotions that this book made me feel from happy, to sad and at times I wanted to throw my kindle was just amazing. This was just the best roller coaster ride I have been on in awhile. Ivy is such a strong spirited woman. I loved how Jacade is all alpha male. They make the perfect couple.

Once Ivy discovers some answers from the past will she and Jacade be able to overcome things and move forward? Get the book and find out. I will say the book end with one hell of a great cliffhanger. But the next book looks to be just as good as this one. Mk gets better with each book she writes and I cannot wait for the next book. Five fantastic stars for a job well done.

Perfect book for the legal world!

I have been in law school for about to years and this book has made it ten times easier when it comes to legal terms! I absolutely love this book and can use it throughout my career. Perfect buy and will recommend to co-workers and more!

Must have for law newbies

Significant improvements, additions and changes have been made to this since at least the 5th edition which is the next most recent edition I was able to get my hands on at the bookshelf of my firm. I use it daily. It rarely, if ever, lets me down when I need to look up legal terms, with all their specific contexts and respective meanings. And yes, it will explain terms MUCH better than googling things and hoping you land on sources that know as much as Black's.

This cycle of poems is perhaps the most memorable evocation in modern Canadian literature of the myth of the wilderness, the immigrant experience, and the alienating and schizophrenic effects of the colonial mentality. Since it was first published in 1970 it has not only acquired the stature of a classic but, reprinted many times, become the best-known extended work in Canadian poetry.

Susanna Moodie (1805-85) emigrated from England in 1832 to Upper Canada, where she settled on a farm with her husband. She wrote several books in Canada, notably Roughing It in the Bush, a famous account of pioneering that is still widely read. In poems about the arrival and the Moodies' seven years in the bush, which were followed by a more civilized ilfe in Belleville, and about Mrs Moodie in old age and then after death - in the present, when she observes the twentieth century destroying her past and its meaning - Margaret Atwood has created haunting meditations on an English gentlewoman's confrontation with the wilderness, and compelling variations on the themes of dislocation and alienation, nature and civilization.

The poems are supplemented by Margaret Atwood's collages and an 'Afterword' in which the poet says: 'We are all imigrants to this place even if we were born here....'

As fledgling artists in their respective fields, Margaret Atwood and Charles Pachter were enthusiastic collaborators in a unique art form, the livre d'artiste ? the marriage of original graphic work with literary text. Beginning in the mid-sixties, while both were still students, they worked together on five limited-edition handmade books, volumes of Atwood?s poetry with Pachter?s interpretive artwork. The culmination of their collaboration, the work that is considered their masterpiece, is The Journals of Susanna Moodie. In her reading of Susanna Moodie?s chronicles of pioneer life in nineteenth-century Canada, Atwood found the haunting and timeless themes that still obsess us.

The poems of The Journals of Susanna Moodie were first published in 1970 in a standard format. This sequence of poems is regarded as a classic, in addition to being connected with her later novel, Alias Grace. In 1980, Pachter was able to add his own vibrant, evocative images and create the version they had dreamt of: a hand-set, hand-printed illustrated limited edition of 120 numbered copies.

This popular edition is a faithful re-creation of the original, accompanied by an introductory memoir by Pachter, describing his friendship with Atwood and the creative process behind this breathtaking work, and a foreword by David Staines, who pays homage to Atwood, Pachter, and Moodie and their central places in our art and literature.

Wonderful and informative poetry

"The Journals of Susanna Moodie" poems are interesting and spare in style. I have not gone through the whole collection, but Margaret Atwood has written a thought-provoking account (through poems) of Susanna Moodie. Any serious or avid poem reader should consider this collection of related poems.
